About Jamestown, OH - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Greene County, Ohio, Jamestown is a small village found in the Dayton Metro Statistical Area. As of 2010, the population was just under 2,000 residents. This community was first founded in 1816, and it was name after Jamestown, Virginia, the hometown of one of its founders. Jamestown is also small geographically, and the total area is only about 1.2 square miles. Notable Jamestown residents include former NBA player Gary Bradds and NFL player Roland James, who played for the New England Patriots for ten years.

Despite its small size, there are a few noteworthy things to do in Jamestown. The historic Jamestown Opera House is located here, and outdoor enthusiasts may enjoy camping at the Old US 35 Campground. There are also a few destinations for shopping, including Hometown Marketplace and the nearby Tanger Outlets, which is a short drive away in Jeffersonville. Kelley’s Café is a popular stop for lunch after a day of shopping and traversing the area.

Residents of Jamestown will need to have an efficient and reliable home heating system in place to protect against winter weather in this community. Average high temperatures in January, the coldest month of the year, fall in the mid-30s, but overnight lows tend to drop to the low-20s. Moderate snowfall will also be experienced throughout the season, so when residents are stuck indoors due to the harsh elements outside, a heat pump or furnace can keep them warm.

Most residents also choose to have an air conditioning system installed. July is the hottest month of the year, with average high temperatures reaching 87 degrees. The weather is also muggy, making a 90 degree day feel even warmer. Most HVAC professionals will recommend that Jamestown residents invest in an energy-efficient air conditioning system and have it serviced during the spring. This will give homeowners the peace of mind that the system is operating properly before the dog days of summer arrive.
